The Atelier Monaco

For more than twenty years, the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon created works at the workshop of the port of Monaco, made available to him by the Principality.
The Folon Foundation, which he created in Belgium in 2000, was eager to breathe new life into this unique place of creation by opening its doors to the public. Complementing the museum dedicated to the artist in Belgium, visitors are invited to discover paintings, sculptures, photos… but above all the artist’s universe and sources of inspiration: everyday objects conducive to creation. His work table, his brushes, his palette of colours are a feast for the eye of visitors, revealing the inner depths of the man himself.

Guided tours are now organised by appointment.

Every month, artistic workshops explore the technique of watercolour but also gouache, pastel, collages and offer an insight into landscape drawing and travel log design.
