Antonio Seguí

Both witnesses of their time, they provide us with a clear depiction of the human being in isolation, in search of humanity. Where Folon, like a messenger, leaves us on the threshold of imagination, Seguí transports us into the daily lives of individuals, anonymous conformists or faithful archetypes. Like a poetic traveller, the artist changes the spectrum of his lens, in a whirl of variations, from the wide angle that captures the freneticism of the crowd to the zoom lens that invades his characters’ privacy.  We witness slices of everyday life, moments suspended in time, playlets in which Seguí depicts the diversity of human nature; frozen moments, where the solitary character, with a mischievous or shady look, snoops and is himself snooped on. He then rushes off again, as though trying to escape this systematised world.
