Carole Solvay. Apesanteurs

The Fondation Folon was honoured to host a selection of previously unseen works by the Belgian artist Carole Solvay. Delicate creations made from feathers and yarn, strange amulets and aerial installations inhabited the space with their gentle and enigmatic presence.

Carole Solvay trims, cuts out and reassembles to create a sensual world, one that quivers with the slightest breath of wind. Her creations sometimes evoke the lightness and movement of clouds, and sometimes the mysterious forms of her unfamiliar writing system…
