Quizzes, drawings, crafts, readings, cartoons: a multitude of activities await you, with Ungerer as your guide. The experience is total, in this fascinating universe where you will be thrilled and where the villains are not the ones you think.

The exhibition-workshop is open every day and can be visited individually. In addition, every Wednesday during the summer, by reservation, storytellers will read the artist’s stories and continue with a creative workshop.

Tomi Ungerer

Ungerer grew up in Alsace under the Nazi occupation and bore the scars of this troubled childhood all his life. In 1957, like many European artists, he left for the United States to try his luck. There he experienced success and condemnation. An unconditional defender of freedom of expression, he did not hesitate to shout out his vision of the world through posters and drawings that were resolutely furious and destabilizing. Choosing Nova Scotia, then Ireland, he never stopped exploring the multiple facets of his creativity and delivered a virtuoso, immense and unclassifiable work.
