Rosa Folon
Friday 28 November
Master rose breeder Christian de Chausey, who has already dedicated roses to the artists and poets who inspire him – notably François Cheng, Hugo Marchand, Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Vanessa Paradis, Maurice Ravel and Jane Goodall – has created a new variety in tribute to Jean-Michel Folon.
It was planted on Friday, 28 November, in the Foundation’s garden, opposite the iconic sculpture ‘Pluie’, to mark the museum’s 25th anniversary.
Each rose is a unique creation, cultivated at Château de Chantore in La Manche, alongside other varieties from the Christian de Chausey Collection, on the Rose Trail in Mont-Saint-Michel Bay. The rosa Folon joins this poetic journey.
