Tribute to Jean-Michel Folon in Saint-Paul de Vence on the 20th anniversary of his death

In collaboration with the Fondation Folon, Saint-Paul de Vence commemorates the 20th anniversary of Folon’s death. He had a special connection with the village, regularly visiting the legendary Colombe d’Or hotel and restaurant to create and meet with friends. At the end of his life, he also designed an extraordinary décor for the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs chapel in the centre of the village.
- 17 October at 6.30 pm, screening of the documentary film ‘Folon’ at the Media Library.

Free admission. - 18 October at 11 a.m., a memorial mass at the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs, presided over by Father Guy Larguilière, accompanied by Dominican friar Yves-Marie and Sylvain Brison. With the participation of Folon’s musician friends: Philippe Depetris, flutist, and Pascal Polidori, guitarist.
- 18 October at 3 p.m., a guided tour entitled ‘The Folon Chapel’: a poetic journey between earth and sky organised by the Saint-Paul de Vence Tourist Office.
