Festival du Dessin Arles

Around his emblematic figure, the various facets of the art of drawing will be highlighted through some forty artists, including Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, Nadia Léger, Annette Messager, Odilon Redon, Alan Vega, Bram van Velde and Ossip Zadkine, but also through original themed exhibitions such as a major exhibition of humorous drawings, an exceptional selection of Japanese prints from the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and 150 drawings from the prestigious Antoine de Galbert Collection. Special attention will be paid to the younger generation, with works by some fifty students from the Paris, Brussels and Warsaw Schools of Decorative Arts. Finally, among other surprises, visitors will be able to discover the drawings of Jean Moulin, a little-known aspect of this great name in national history.

As in previous editions, the exhibitions will provide a great opportunity to see and revisit the emblematic sites of Arles: the Archbishop’s Palace, the chapel of the Museon Arlaten – Musée de Provence, the Musée Réattu, the Musée Départemental Arles Antique, the Church of Sainte-Anne… Debates, meetings, guided tours, workshops, film screenings and concerts will punctuate this edition throughout, making it one of the unmissable cultural and festive events of spring 2025.
