Summer program

This summer, smile at the Folon Foundation: escape in a creative workshop, live a poetic experience and get some fresh air in the wonderful Solvay park.

Since July 1, the courtyard of La Hulpe Castle Farm has become the museum’s first room:
– meet the emblematic character of Folon and exchange with him a moment of poetry. A new bench with the sculpture “Je me souviens” (2004) was installed in the courtyard. Don’t hesitate to take a photo with him and share it on our social networks (@fondationfolon)
an illustrated biography presents the main lines of Folon’s life
a sound montage with different interviews of the artist is broadcast in an alcove of the building (opposite the “Voler” mosaic)
artistic workshops are given in the courtyard of the Foundation on Tuesdays and Fridays in the summer. These workshops are offered in addition to your free visit to the museum. By reservation. Price: 7 € -14 ​​€ (workshop + entrance to the museum).

The Foundation wants its visitors to make the most of Solvay Park before or after their visit to the museum. A map of the park, illustrated by a Brabant watercolourist, is on sale at the museum (3€) and it presents you with the remarkable trees, the history of the Foundation, the history of the Solvay family, the links between these two men, …

For lovers of watercolor, Folon and Solvay Park. The Foundation organizes workshops “Carnets de voyage” the week of August 25 to 28. These workshops are given from Tuesday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Catherine De Ryck will be your teacher and she will take you to discover the 227 ha of Solvay Park. Reservation required by email to info@fondationfolon.be Price: 60 € / day Wearing the desired mask If you do not have your watercolor kit, please indicate this when booking so that we can prepare your material.

During your walk between the Gaillemarde car park and the Folon Foundation, you will find 12 quotes from Folon on the park benches. These quotes are a beautiful invitation to a poetic stroll!
